Promise Ministries is first and foremost, people. People passionate about God's Word and on fire about doing the Great Commission of Jesus to reach people with His awesome love. We are located in northeast Fort Wayne, but people from all over northeast Indiana have made Promise their home citing the warm, friendly people as their main reason for coming. Outreach is our primary focus with our Mission Statement being "To deliberately disciple seekers into fully devoted followers of Christ".

Chartered in 1997 in affiliation with the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, Promise has from the beginning intentionally provided an upbeat, fresh, contemporary Sunday morning Celebration Service. Our greatest desire in our worship is to connect people with God through the grace and love of His Son, Jesus. Each service is built around a series and message theme which challenges us to look at ourselves, our life choices, and our priorities in light of God's Word. We use drama, art, dance, and other high impact elements in our services to teach the truth of God's grace. The result? Lives transformed by the Holy Spirit.

 

Promise is made up of many Ministries to meet people where they are in life. Our Children's Ministry creates an environment where kids can truly experience God's Love and learn about His eternal truths through activities designed for their age level. This ministry is seeing explosive growth in our summer outreach event of Vacation Bible School which, too, is full of wonderful experiences and activities that teach the realness of Jesus and His love for all of us.

 

Our Youth Ministry takes Jr. & Sr. high students deeper into God's Word with very authentic discussions relating to their challenging lives. Parents often participate with their kids, to help strengthen this vital relationship. Servant projects and events are an important part of youth Ministry, teaching all of us God's call to look beyond ourselves toward the needs of others. Once a month, the youth of Promise worship with and feed the hungry and homeless in downtown Fort Wayne.

 

Our Adult Ministry is made up of many ministries; Womens, Mens, Prayer, Assimilation and Hospitality are vibrant examples. We have a Car Care Ministry to serve the needs of low-income families, elderly and single moms in our community. We have many craftsmen and construction people in our family who are at the beginning stages of a Construction Ministry that will also serve needy families in and about their homes. This is just another example of our commitment and passion to reach people where they are and to serve them with the love of God.
